Fall Drive - Mt. Adams & Maryhill Winery - Oct 9, 2021
Fall is a great time of year. The nights are cool, and the days have a special smell to the air that is unique to autumn. The first part of fall is almost always sunny, pleasant days into mid-October. What better way to enjoy autumn that a drive in the country? That’s exactly what your Mercedes-Benz Club organized for Saturday, October 9.
The route we drove is in the area south of Mt. Adams in Klickitat County, Washington. It’s a loop trip we last drove in 2016, but with a couple of changes from last time. We crossed the Hood River Bridge, drove west about a mile, then north to Trout Lake, WA. Then we drove east along the south side of Mt. Adams, passing through the towns of Glenwood and Goldendale, WA. At Goldendale we turned south toward the Columbia River to end up at Maryhill Winery for lunch.
This lightly traveled route with lots of twists and turns made it a fun drive, especially in a fine handling car like a Mercedes-Benz!
